About us

My dad is a medical doctor, internist and diabetologist working for decades with pharmaceutical companies to develop new drugs to treat diabetes. My grandpa had Type 2 Diabetes, and he died at an old age on the consequences of a car accident. Long healing time due to diabetes is particularly dangerous for the elderly living with this disease. My husband was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 8 years old. Type 1 (T1D) is different from Type 2 (T2D) as it's an autoimmune condition developed mostly at younger age, whereas T2D is insulin resistance linked to lifestyle and genetic factors. Approximately 537 million adults currently live with diabetes, underscoring a significant global health challenge.​ The number of diabetes cases is expected to increase significantly in the coming years, indicating a growing public health concern. The number of people with diabetes is projected to rise to 643 million by 2030 and 783 million by 2045.​ My husband and I would like to dedicate our life, compounded 65 years of experiences living with diabetes and expertise in engineering to provide the best in class diabetes management support with an incredibly strong community and cutting-edge technology that is intuitive and lovable.
